One opportunity that I think has so much potentional is selling eBooks and Audiobooks. I’ll probably expound on this subject in a later article, but I have something to give you so let’s just go over the pros and cons.

PROS:

  • No physical product to ship
  • You can sell from your own site, Amazon, eBay, Clickbank and other places
  • You can purchase products that have resale and/or edit rights and either sell as-is or use as a base and recreate it in your own words
  • You can create a niche market by creating your own eBooks and/or audiobooks
  • With a product that you created, you can sell it yourself or sell it for a higher amount with resale rights
  • With a product that you created, you can sell the eBook as part of a class that you teach either online, at a community center or even from your own home
  • It costs very little to get started

CONS:

As with any business, if you don’t love what you do… it will get boring very quickly.

Now, for my gift. I’ve been going through some of my old downloads and cds and I came across this eBook of breakfast recipes. It has resale rights and a html set up to create a nice little site for the book. They have the list price at $17.00, but you can sell it for whatever you like. You can download it HERE.

I do have a little hosting company that I use for myself and family/friends. If you are already familiar with cPanel and do not need much help with getting your site up, I would be happy to give you a special deal to host a little eBook site. Just let me know that you are knowledgeable with uploading and managing your site, whether or not you need a domain name, and how big of a site you are thinking of and I’ll get you a price asap.

Next time, I’ll tell you how I wrote a little eBook about my experiences selling on eBay and started teaching a class right from my home. I made a little money and got to help several women get started selling online. It was fun.

Please note, I just found the eBook about five minutes before starting this post. I haven’t tried any of the recipes. So if you do, please post and let us know how it goes. :)
